A STRATEGIC APPROACH FORWARD

The Great Southern Region Marketing Association (GSRMA) has been working to map out its expanded role into the future for the collective benefit of the great southern region.

Chairman of the Association, Marie Redman said that the GSRMA had just undergone a strategic planning process, facilitated by Colleen Brown with support from Vicki Brown, AusIndustry, Great Southern Area Consultative Committee and the Great Southern Development Commission.

“The Association has been in operation for more than six years now and it was timely to re-visit our goals and objectives, to ensure that we remained relevant to our membership base,” Ms Redman said.

“Importantly, it is imperative that our activities were aligned with our mission and that we focussed on what we can do for the marketing of the region.

“As an outcome of the planning process, the GSRMA will make it a priority to raise the profile of the Great Southern Naturally brand, to showcase the region, its producers, retailers, tourism operators and others, so that it can reach its full potential.

“Exciting times lay ahead and I look forward to working with our members, key stakeholders and government, to continue to effectively bolster the capacity of the region.”
